First public release with auto-update. From here on the app keeps itself current — no more manual reinstall every time a new version ships.

New

  • · Automatic updates for the desktop app: when a new version is out, a banner shows up with a button to install it and restart.
  • · Sign-in with Apple ID (in addition to Google and email/password).
  • · Curated library of animated backgrounds on paid plans, organized by category (worship, communion, christmas, abstract, nature, lights).
  • · Preview of basic and animated backgrounds in mobile with optional sample text, configurable color and border.
  • · Grid view of every slide in the current program (Cmd/Ctrl + G) so you can jump from one slide to any other without scrolling.
  • · Usage and plan page in the mobile app (read-only) — see songs, programs, presentations and storage used.
  • · Duration field on songs (default 3:30) to help plan services better.
  • · Desktop app signed and notarized on macOS — opens directly, no "unidentified developer" warnings.

Improvements

  • · Sync split into two phases: fast metadata first, files in the background after. You start faster when signing in.
  • · Download progress visible per media card and per presentation.
  • · Sharper thumbnails for media and presentations (cover instead of pad).
  • · Navbar reshuffled: role moved inside the organization dropdown.

Fixes

  • · Bible download progress bar no longer bounces during background downloads.
  • · Duplicate presentations or ones that no longer exist on the server clean themselves up.
  • · Thumbnail cache invalidates correctly when the source file changes.
  • · Applying an animated background no longer blocks waiting for the first download.

Notes

  • · This is the first release that includes auto-update. For future versions, you'll get the banner automatically; this time you have to install it manually by downloading from the site.
